Came home from work to find my Desktop PC “experienced a fatal error” and will not re-boot. The damn harddrive failed. Guess what I get to do this weekend?

I use to think the most annoying sound in the world was my 5 year old niece going “mom, Mom, MOM, MOMMY, MOMMYYY!!”
That was until tonight. The power went out and stayed out in the Computer Science building on campus where over 500 battery backups began to beep, echoing through the halls. It took my Professor 12 frigging minutes of sitting in the nearly dark classroom, listening the that damn beeping before deciding that the power most likely wasn’t coming back on and to dismiss class for the night.
Those who can’t…TEACH.
